Mayurakshi carries the softness of a light beige-yellow body, woven in fine Muslin Dhakai Jamdani with an all-over story of colour, patience and craft. Across its surface, extremely detailed Jamdani motifs unfold through lotus blooms, birds, swans, leafy vines and delicate floral forms, giving the saree a graceful, almost painterly charm.

Created with a fine 4500 tana bana count, Mayurakshi reflects the rare precision of slow handloom weaving. Each motif has been woven directly into the fabric, making the saree feel light, intricate and quietly magnificent. What makes this piece even more special is the hand behind it: it has been woven by a 70-year-old master weaver, carrying decades of experience, memory and devotion in every thread.

This saree took nearly 14 months to complete. Rich in detail yet gentle in presence, Mayurakshi is not just a drape. It is a living story of heritage, patience and an artist’s lifetime of skill.
